Delete your account and your data

UpMyChain (Android app and upmychain.com website)

Service published by Damien Chapus, sole trader (trading as UpMyChain, SIREN 482 409 943). The Android app is published on Google Play by this same publisher’s developer account, “Horizon Builder”.

Two ways to request deletion

In the app or on the website

Sign in, then open My account › Account settings › Delete Account. Choose a reason, confirm with your password or with a code received by email, then submit.

Delete my account

Account created with Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Facebook or with a code, without a password? Choose “Code by email”: we send a 6-digit code to the account’s address, to enter instead of the password.

By email

Send an email to contact@upmychain.com from your account’s email address, with the subject “Delete my data”.

We erase your data within 30 days at most and confirm it by email. This also works if you can no longer sign in.

Straight away : your account is closed. Your profile and listings disappear from the site, your services are withdrawn from sale and nobody can sign in to it any more, including with Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft or Facebook.

Permanent erasure : closing the account triggers automatic erasure within 30 days: your data is erased or anonymised (your name becomes “Deleted user”), except what the law requires us to keep (table below). You have nothing else to do; you can also email us (option 2).

Closing is refused while a job is in progress or money is at stake (escrow, an amount to be paid to you or settled): the deletion page shows the jobs concerned and what to do. If a dispute or chargeback is in progress, erasure waits until it is closed.

If you used “Continue with Google”, “Continue with LinkedIn”, “Continue with Microsoft” or “Continue with Facebook”, we only receive your name, your email address, your profile picture and a technical identifier specific to UpMyChain. We never post anything on your behalf and do not access your contacts or your posts.

Remove access on the Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft or Facebook side

LinkedIn : Preferences › Data privacy › Other applications › Permitted services › UpMyChain › Remove (linkedin.com/mypreferences/d/permitted-services).

Microsoft : personal account (Outlook, Hotmail, Live): Privacy › Apps and services › UpMyChain › Remove these permissions (account.live.com/consent/Manage) ; work or school account: My apps › UpMyChain, or your administrator (myapps.microsoft.com).

Facebook: Settings › Apps and websites › UpMyChain › Remove. Google: myaccount.google.com › Security › Third-party app connections › UpMyChain. This prevents any new sign-in; to erase data already received, use one of the two methods above.
